Noch mehr Motivation!

Jaja, mein Kapuzengilet hat mir ja schon Lust gemacht noch was zu stricken. Und dann find ich heute das blog von der tagträumerin. Die hat sich nämlich eine ganz nette  Herausforderung ausgedacht: “12 Monate + 12 Stoffe = 12 heiß geliebte Kleidungsstücke”. Da möcht ich doch glatt miteinsteigen! Zwar werde ich nicht nur nähen sondern auch stricken, bedrucken und was sich halt so ergibt. Für Jänner zähle ich das Gilet schon mal, was nicht heißt dass ich nicht noch was mache. 


Today i discovered the blog of tagträumerin and her challenge of "12 months + 12 fabrics = 12 dearly beloved garments". I want to take on that challenge too, but i will sew, crochet, knit, print and whatever comes to my mind! I count the waistcoat for January, which doesn´t mean i wont make something else too.

Nun was anderes: wir haben seit gestern einen Kleiderschrank (um den symbolischen Preis von 1€ bekommen, juhuu :). Für manche mag das ja nicht erwähnenswert sein, für mich aber schon weil es mein erster eigener Kleiderschrank ist. Zwar teil ich ihn natürlich mit H. aber trotzdem. Daran muss ich mich erst gewöhnen. Bis jetzt war mein Gewand nämlich immer in irgendwelchen Übergangslösungen an verschiedenen Orten in der Wohnung verteilt. Und jetzt: alles an einem Platz, übersichtlich und vor allem vor Katzenhaaren geschützt. Und er ist soooo riesig. Ich hab vorher nie bemerkt, dass Kleiderschränke so riesig sind. 
Langsam finden die Dinge in der neuen Wohnung ihren Platz. Im Wohn- und im Esszimmer dauert es zwar etwas länger, weil das eine oder andere Möbel noch abgeschliffen oder sonstwie umgebaut werden muss, aber es wird. Schön langsam, ohne überstürzte Möbelkäufe. Damit man sich an die neu gewonnene Weite gewöhnen kann. So hab ich mir das vorgestellt :)

Change of subject: since yesterday we have a wardrobe. This may not be a big deal for everyone, but for me it is. It´s my first very own wardrobe! Before  my clothes were spread over several temporary solutions. Surely, i share it with H. but it´s not a patch on the situation before. It´s somehow a bit frightening for me, because this cupboard is soooo huge. Seeing my clothes inside looks like i have really few, but i wont let this get to my head.
Slowly everything finds its place in the new apartment. Some rooms are evolving more slowly than others, but thats okay. No hurried furniture purchases, so we can get used to the new space. Just as i imagined it :)
Oh and today we had the first mentionable snow.

Trommelwirbel!

Für.......mein Kapuzengilet! Die Fertigstellung hat sich etwas verzögert, weil eine gewisse Kapuze nicht so wollte wie ich. Ein bisschen mehr als sechzehn Knäuel Wolle hab ich gebraucht und an Zeit genau eine Woche. Bisher hab ich noch nie so was großes gestrickt und dementsprechend bin ich schon stolz auf mich, auch wenns nicht 100% perfekt geworden ist. Perfekt wär ja eh fad.
Als nächstes ist jetzt der seit Monaten unfertig auf der Schneiderpuppe hängende Kapuzenpullover dran. Irgendwie war da so eine Mauer in meinem Kopf, dass ich einfach nicht wusste wie ich ihn fertig nähen soll. Bis mich gestern eine liebe Freundin besucht hat und ZACK hatten wir die Lösung! Tja, it takes two...

It is....(drums please)... a hooded body warmer! I actually finished it today, because the hood didn´t work out at the first attempt. I needed a little more than sixteen balls of wool and it took one week to finish it. It´s the first big thing i ever knitted and so i am a little proud on myself, though it´s not 100% perfect. But who cares, perfect is lame anyway.
My next goal is to finish the pullover that has been hanging on my dress form for months now. I somehow had no idea how to finish it, but when a good friend visited me yesterday we had the solution in less than five minutes. I guess it really did take two...

Fast fertig bin ich, mit meinem Strickprojekt. Hab vergangenen Montag die Wolle dafür gekauft und beim Bezahlen bin ich auch kurz vor Schreck erstarrt, aber Qualität hat eben ihren Preis. Und der hat als Ansporn gereicht das "Ding" diesmal auch wirklich zügig fertig zu stricken und nicht wie sonst dahin zu trödeln. Der Anfang war wirklich nervig, ich hasse die ersten paar Reihen auf Rundstricknadeln, da verdreht und verzieht sich alles... aber wenn man erst einmal zehn fünfzehn Zentimeter hat dann strickt es sich wie von allein. Und es ermutigt unheimlich wenn man sieht wie die zwanzig!! Knäuel dahinschwinden. Heute abend (spätestens) ist es fertig. Dann folgen auch Fotos, versprochen :)

...with my knitting project. I started on monday after buying twenty!! balls of wool. I have never before bougt so many balls at once and therefore got a little shock when i payed for them. I know, quality has its price. So i had enough motivation to pull this whole project through without procrastinating and knitted like mad during the last days. Today it will be finished and i will post some pictures of it, promised!

Mein Vorsatz für 2012 passt da ganz gut dazu:   Ideen konsequent umsetzen!

Außerdem möcht ich wieder öfter kochen und neue Rezepte ausprobieren. Im Winter werd ich nämlich immer ganz kochfaul und verlier dadurch irgendwie auch ein bisschen die Lust am Essen. Ein Kochplan für die ganze Woche wär da vielleicht kein Fehler, mal sehn...

Den Schmetterling oben hab ich übrigens vom Präparationskurs mitgenommen. Weil er keinen Kopf mehr hat wollte ihn niemand. Ich find ihn wunderschön.

I also have some new years resolutions, like

• implement my ideas consequently
• cook more often
• try new recipes more often
• start climbing

The butterfly above is a leftover from a course at university. I think it´s wonderful.
